- We have negotiated with a law firm to get you the services of some of Perths best solicitors when you are being victimized and harassed by anyone.
- There have already been several cases that drivers have won here.
- We are the only group prepared to stand up for the rights of Drivers at the airport and not sell you out. Our fight there still goes on to get a better deal for you. We are the group who held a picket line to have the speed humps removed. We were threatened with arrest at the airport over the picket on the rank, we held our ground and didn't back down.
- Because of our actions, the speed humps was removed.
- We successfully pushed to get better conditions for the MPT operators. These include, fuel subsidy, lifting fee, vehicle setting up subsidy.
- We are here to support.you.
What we are doing now.
We are fighting now to improve the industry for every Taxi Driver. You, our members have told us you want a safer, and more profitable industry that works with key industry affiliates to improve service to the Perth traveling public.
This takes time, resources time and money for administrative purposes. This is what we prepared to do for you. To do this we need memberships, and we need your support. TIFWA needs every Perth Cab Driver who has said Enough is Enough to join in our fight for a better industry.
The following agenda is being addressed now.
- Peak Period Hours.
- Driver Safety
- Improving Standards of Drivers
- Over Charging of Lease
- Police Downloading of Cameras
- Kilometer Rate Increase for Drivers
- More Night Drivers
We want our industry back.
French Taxi Drivers have united and had their demands met. New York Taxi Drivers are united and their demands have been met. Melbourne took 6 hours to get what they demanded. We can do the same.
TIFWA has the support of drivers around Australia, who have been watching Perth and have seen what has been unfolding here. Stand united, and we will get a better industry, only together we can achieve our goal.
We are the only body that is there for Perth Taxi Drivers. If you want better conditions for yourself, join us now. If you have had enough of being pushed around, join us now. If you have any issues or see any problems in the industry let us know about it so action can be taken.
